International Conference
The China International Conference on SoTL is a continuous international conference registered under the Ministry of Education's academic conference system. It has been held for two editions and has played an important role in guiding and supporting academic development in teaching within Chinese higher education institutions.
The first conference was co-hosted by Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) and the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (ISSOTL), held from August 21-23, 2020 at BIT. Titled "SoTL: International Perspectives and Local Practices," the conference featured 10 plenary sessions, 9 pre-conference workshops, and 11 parallel symposia. It attracted 1,039 registered participants who gathered virtually, with a global live viewership of 75,028 through streaming platforms.
The second conference, also organized by BIT in collaboration with ISSOTL, took place August 19-21, 2022 under the theme " SoTL: Crossing Boundaries." This edition introduced three major innovations in topics, formats, and collaborations, comprising 11 plenary sessions, 6 workshops, and 10 symposia. The event engaged over 500 virtual participants across all sessions, with 2,200 attendances recorded for its various components. Live streaming reached a global audience of 115,600 viewers.
